cwalkin'

Quite a few of these Cwalk videos on the ol' YouTubes. Found some of them interesting to watch so I thought I'd share. If you want to give it a shot, here's a tutorial.

do the D.A.N.C.E

TrendCentral points out this interesting video from Justice in today's article:

Justice: Justice has been well known in electronica circles for the past few years for their remixes of songs by artists ranging from N.E.R.D. to Britney Spears, but the Parisian production duo is now receiving acclaim for their own debut album. Thanks to bloggers who spread the word on the animated t-shirt video for their summer club anthem “D.A.N.C.E.”, Justice is on their way to becoming a band known outside the somewhat insular world of electronica. They could also end up being big in the streetwear world: the t-shirts from the video have been selling out at stores such as Colette in Paris.

Proverbs005

It's Nice That shares this smart, simple work by Laura Snell and Katie Waters.

"Proverbs are well known sayings that are intended to influence the way people act or think. Although still commonly used, the meanings have now become outdated and irrelevant to people's lives. Our aim is to encourage you to challenge these conventions by choosing words that fit your outlook on life."

Be sure to click through to Laura's site and see more pages from the book along with some of her other work.

Shake Well Before Use points out this interesting video. Get all the details and more links over on her post about it.

who says you can't color on the walls?

Happypets2

Happypets1

"!we give you the lines! !!you put the colour!!" - happypets.

Could be a very interesting idea for a child's room, children's museum or maybe even a bar or pub (not for children). Although some of the above images for coloring might have a bit of trouble getting past the censors here in the States. Still fun though.

ahoy

Sometimes I come across things and I figure most of the world has seen them so I don't post about them. Or someone else already written about them, so I decide there's no point in my writing about them too. This was one of those things. I saw it over on Gareth's blog around the time it launched. Because he had posted it already, and because it was running on TV, I didn't write about it here.

I am now starting to rethink this stance. I need to stop filtering myself in this regard. Just because I read/saw/heard something somewhere, doesn't mean that a person who stumbles upon my feeble writings here has already seen/heard/read it as well.

After all, one of the major purposes of writing a blog is to spread information further, right? I'll work on getting better about this.

Oh, and yeah. I liked this one. Nice work W+K.

More from this campaign here, here, and here.

the outside in: female parkour

Parkour has always fascinated me. I'm sure that is part of why I found this interesting. I also like how you can take a lot of what she says and apply it to many things.

WKSide 3 Presentation

Weiden + Kennedy London kindly shares this presentation from some of their WKSide 3 applicants. They're pitching a concept to the agency judges for a community based multi-composer music creation installation.

lovestoned interestingness

Thought this one was visually interesting. Reminded me a bit of the HP television spots from a while back, but still different.
