About the blog:

To me, it's my digital Moleskine®. A place to put some things down on "paper" and open them up for the rest of the world to see and react to if they so choose.

Or, I suppose you could say it's a smörgåsbord  of things I find interesting, inspiring or odd, mixed in with a few of my thoughts, notes, and random musings; most of which relate in some form to brands, marketing, communications and such.

Ultimately, I hope it helps me and some of those who happen to come by, thoughtfully explore better ways for brands to be relevant, meaningful and useful to the people who use them.

About the header:

Using My Name: Had I thought this through a bit more when I started, I wouldn't have titled it after myself. But, after more than a year and a half of having it up, I think it would possibly be a bad idea to change it at this point.

The Subhead: Of course that isn't always the case with some of the content that's on here, but that's what I aspire to and since I find myself writing on here a fair bit, I thought it was a good reminder of what I'm trying and hoping to do. Maybe it's a bit overzealous, but it's a good thing to aim for I think.

The Beta Thing: Given the definition of beta software, some of the thinking that's out there around this and how it relates to brands, and that it's a nice way to look at how I've always viewed this blog, it's on there. Maybe for good.
